Running an agency

As a designer at Strakzat, I create value as efficiently as possible by designing and building the right digital solutions. I pay attention to both user goals and client goals. I investigate the context of the problem and translate my findings into result-oriented digital solutions, ensuring that they meet all needs and wants. To give an impression of my experience, I have made a selection of projects I have worked on.

Optimise contact investigation during the pandemic

I was responsible for designing the web portal and associated (mobile) application GGD Contact (iOS and Android) to help the GGD speed up source and contact investigation and make it more privacy-proof. Here, the challenge was to speed up the current process for this investigation within the GGD.

I got involved in designing the web portal and application later in the process. For this, I first had to master many medical concepts and terms used within the GGD. When designing, I worked closely with the UX researchers, copywriters, other product designers and the development team. I incorporated outcomes of user tests and preconditions from the GGD and translated them into digital solutions.

User-friendliness, strict privacy requirements and security were central to this. This project was carried out in Figma.

More reliable delivery time from bol.com partners

Because of my experience with Design Sprints, I was asked to participate in a Design Sprint as a designer. The goal of this Design Sprint was to reduce by 50% the number of bol.com partners not meeting the promised delivery time.

In one week, we tried to solve this problem and worked towards a tested solution. Together with the team of bol.com, I thought about possible solutions and designed the interface for the chosen solution. Through user interviews, sketches and a clickable prototype in Figma, we worked towards a tested solution to the problem.

The challenge here was time constraints. The goal was to create and test a possible solution as quickly as possible. A Design Sprint is the ideal method for this.

Moving towards an automated supply chain

Gosselin handles international removals, offering their logistics services. Gosselin's request was to develop a portal to be able to select the best transport providers according to customer demand. It also had to be possible to request quotes in the same environment.

Based on a number of selection criteria (such as price, duration and overall assessment), the user should be able to select the right provider. The complexity of this task therefore lay in matching supply and demand. The input for a specific demand by Gosselin had to be answered correctly by the providers. It was therefore important to take the Gosselin and the user by the hand by explaining well how the portal works and simplifying this complex process by design.

The design proposals (in Figma) that I was able to create based on stakeholder & user interviews, customer journeys and data analysis were optimised by conducting user tests at both Gosselin and the providers. The portal was realised together with developers in an agile process where one functionality was delivered per sprint.

A tasteful shopping experience for all professionals in food

De Kweker is a wholesaler for nutrition professionals. I helped De Kweker design their entire online shopping experience. I also help them design their marketing campaigns.
The focus of the work I have done for De Kweker is on being able to shop digitally as a visitor and on the different types of users of De Kweker with their own user goals. For example, there are exploratory visitors who decide online what to get in the physical store. But also power users who do the same order every week or want to fulfill the order as efficiently as possible. We implemented different functionalities to meet the needs of both users by presenting them to both types.

My role was to set up the interaction and visual design as logical and user-friendly as possible and on the website to clearly reflect the positioning as a high-quality wholesaler in form and function.

This work was carried out in Figma. The project resulted in an increase in online orders and increase in sign-ups of new online customers.

Find a temp job that suits you

Tempo Team asked Strakzat to revamp the website. It was important to give the vacancies a consistent and therefore recognizable structure and to simplify the job search.

I started this project with user interviews from which I drew up the requirements for an ideal vacancy page. Using a customizable template for this job page created a consistent yet flexible job page design.
By talking to job seekers and drawing up customer journeys, the prerequisites for the search bar and job cards in the job overview were defined.

I also simplified the extensive application process for the end user by making it step-by-step and breakable in between, without losing progression. This brought down the number of unfinished applications.

Drive your new or used car without hassle

For the Louwman Group, I collaborated with another UX Designer to design the website for auto.nl. Here new and used cars can be purchased online.

I have been involved from the concept of auto.nl onwards. That means I created or performed user interviews, stakeholder interviews, personas, competitor analysis, data analysis, product canvas, flowcharts, wireframes, prototypes user tests and a design system.

Sufficient trust before consumers proceed to purchase a product online in this price range is very difficult. Therefore, additional research was done on trust-building techniques and applied throughout the website.

The designs in this project executed according to the scrum methodology were presented by me to the stakeholders after each sprint.
